Clinched Highway Mapping

Many web sites allow you to keep track of all kinds of experiences, from birds you have seen to counties you have visited and even paper money you have handled.

Now you can track your highway travels, too.

This site allows travelers to map which portions of various highways they have traveled at least once and those highways they have "clinched" from end to end. Travelers are also presented with a set of web pages summarizing the lengths of their travels on each highway and grouped by country, by region, or by highway system.

One traveler's journeys in South Carolina are shown here in their own custom map. Interstate Highways in blue, US Highways in red:

To create a map of your travels, simply make a text file and list the highway segments on which you have driven or ridden. Read on for instructions on how to make your traveler file...

Once your clinched highway site is created, maps and stats based on your travels will appear online. To view your site, find your name in our list of travelers.
